Taylor Rochestie, founder of One World Academy, is a former professional basketball player with 15 years of international experience and a standout career at Washington State University. Renowned for his high-level skill and visionary mindset, Taylor is passionate about mentoring young athletes. As a FIBA EuroChallenge Champion and Final Four MVP, EuroLeague Top Scorer, and member of the exclusive EuroLeague 50-40-90 club, Taylor has competed at the highest levels of the game. His achievements include winning league championships, national cups, and earning recognition as a CBA All-Star, showcasing his exceptional scoring and playmaking abilities across Europe, Asia, and beyond.
With a focus on both the physical and mental aspects of the game, Taylor helps players unlock their full potential on and off the court. His elite experience and dedication make him an exceptional coach and role model for aspiring athletes, inspiring them to pursue excellence and embrace the journey of basketball.

Corey Langerveld
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Corey Langerveld serves as the Director of Operations at One World Academy, where he manages the daily operations of the program while playing an active role in the development of athletes. A former all-conference player at Azusa Pacific University, Corey brings valuable firsthand experience as a collegiate athlete. After graduating, Corey spent six years in athletic administration at his alma mater, honing his skills in program management and operations. He also served as an assistant coach for the APU women’s basketball team, focusing on opponent scouting and skill development.
At One World Academy, Corey is committed to helping athletes grow both on and off the court by fostering an environment of discipline, hard work, and growth.

Shaq Speights, the Director of Basketball Development at One World Academy, is bringing an unmatched passion for the game and a proven track record of success. With extensive experience developing players at the professional, collegiate, high school, and youth levels, Shaq has a unique ability to tailor his coaching to help athletes of all ages and skill levels unlock their potential.
Shaq’s impressive career includes serving as a skill development coach for professional teams in the Chinese Basketball Association, where he refined elite players to perform on a global stage. As a former player at the University of Charleston, Shaq understands firsthand the dedication, discipline, and skill required to excel at the highest levels of competition.

Scott, a Houston native with a lifelong love for basketball, brings a unique blend of athletic expertise and academic credentials to his role as Director of Sports Performance. Growing up on the hardwood before excelling as a standout track & field athlete, Scott’s background in speed and explosiveness—mastered through events like the 100m, 200m, and hurdles—sets him apart in helping athletes unlock their full potential.
Scott earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Houston and holds a Master’s in Performance Coaching from Setanta College. As a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, he is passionate about applying cutting-edge data, research, and performance models to create customized programs that elevate athletes of all levels—whether it’s increasing vertical jump, enhancing speed, recovering from injury, or maximizing overall performance.
Scott thrives on helping youth, collegiate, and professional athletes develop the strength, agility, and resilience needed to excel on the court. With Scott’s guidance, athletes and their families can expect a results-driven approach designed to take their game to the next level.
